Semantic colors

Material generation supplies core roles for surfaces, foreground text, outlines, primary/secondary/tertiary accents, errors, and light/dark backgrounds. It also exposes tonal palettes that adapters can use when a target format needs a tone rather than one semantic role.

Terminal ANSI colors and tool-specific properties are transformations owned by each adapter. The registry does not promise that every adapter consumes identical role names or produces the same final palette shape.

Theme Manager’s validation suite checks contrast and semantic expectations where an output has a meaningful contract. See output validation before introducing a formatter or role mapping.
